Parables of Light is a platform which showcases Arts and Culture Projects curated and produced by Shazia Rashida Osman. Shazia is a Leicester-based Visual Artist, Calligrapher and Curator, inspired by Heritage Islamic Art.
Her vision is to make art accessible to all, to raise awareness and appreciation of Islamic Art. She is passionate about reaching communities that face barriers when it comes to accessing Art. By obtaining funding from Arts Council England, and other crowdfunding platforms, she strives to bring FREE and subsidised events to her community.
Her long term vision is to make Parables of Light an Arts Hub in Leicester, where communities can come together and benefit from the beauty which Islamic Art is inspired by.
